Tori
This was the second of three location shoots this month. The sun couldn’t make up it’s mind if it wanted to stay in or go out which caused a couple of problems. Steve had picked the locations and took us to a great little spot in Windermere in the woods. Somewhere I’m sure I’ll be going again. Big thank you to Tori for being a fantastic model on the day…

Charlotte
I first met Charlotte a couple of years ago on a shoot for Jo and Cass. More recently we started to discuss a collaboration shoot we could put together, Charlotte’s stylish and turned up with an ample number of outfits for the afternoon. A friend from an old photography course joined us with some bowens and we set to work tying out some new flash techniques around Lancaster. We started at the back of an old Brewery which created the ideal backdrop for some fill in flash. After initial problems with a sync lead, we got the second speedlight firing and I was lucky enough to catch probably the only 10 seconds of blue sky we had all day.
Whilst Steve played with the speedlights I took the opportunity to capture some natural light shots in the same location…
After exhausting the old Brewery we moved on in search of better light and urban scene. We didn’t need to walk far before finding both. A quick change of outfit for Charlotte and we were ready to shoot again. The light was so good here we only really used the speedlights as an after thought.
By now it was getting a little cold. Fortunately for us Elements nightclub had agreed to let us use the main room. So we trailed inside and set the Bowens up. R Leisure Hire had lent us a smoke machine for the day and with a little lighting expertise from one of the dj’s and Stuart Ridley we got the place resembling a nightclub minus the music. It took a little while to balance the light and unfortunately we were running a little short on time but still managed to get a few half decent shots…

New Year, New Site, new blog, so where do I start? Firstly a big thank you to Sam Grimshaw at Milamoo for putting this site together, I couldn’t be happier with the way it’s turned out and I’d recommend him any day of the week. But with the thank you’s out of the way New Year seems as good as anywhere to start and for me it wasn’t all play and no work. Club Sanuk in Blackpool was the venue for what turned into a fantastic night. Hed Kandi brought their Glamourazzi night to town and it didn’t fail to live up to it’s title. Packed with over 2500 clubbers spread over 4 rooms Club Sanuk is Blackpool’s premier nightspot and it didn’t dissapoint.
